District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Bishnupur under the aegis of Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) organised an online legal awareness programme on Tuesday.

The online discussion programme was held on the topic ‘Challenges and Issues faced by Transgender Community in availing various welfare Schemes especially during COVID-19 pandemic’ with the para legal volunteers, panel lawyers and transgenders of Bishnupur district, stated a release.

The discussion session was held between the chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Bishnupur and panel members, para legal volunteers, panel lawyers and Transgender of Bishnupur district, it added.
It stated that the programme was attended by panel members, district chairman, DLSA Bishnupur W Tonen Meitei; secretary, DLSA, Bishnupur Mona Lisa Maibam as moderator; Civil Judge, Junior Division, Bishnupur Margaret Niangsiamkim and secretary Maruploi Foundation Maimom Ranjit Singh.
