An online legal awareness programme on the topic ‘Role of PLVs in identifying victims and referral of applications for awarding compensation under the relevant compensation schemes in place’ was held via JITSI Meet application for para legal volunteers of DLSA Imphal East on Friday.
The online programme was organised, as part of the 75th Azadi Ka Amrti Mahotsav, by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Imphal East in collaboration with Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA).
It was attended by district and sessions judge, Imphal East cum DLSA Imphal East chairman, RK Memcha; Imphal East chief judicial magistrate cum DLSA Imphal East secretary, N Lanleima; and civil judge senior division, Imphal East, K Nirojit.
MJS K Nirojit spoke as a resource person on the topic of the programme. An interaction session was also held between DLSA Imphal East chairman, DLSA Imphal East secretary, resource persons and participants.
