Two Manipur police personnel have been conferred the award of Police Medal for Gallantry (PMG) and four personnel have been conferred the Union Home Minister's Medal for Excellence in Police Training 2018-19.
A release by PRO of Police department stated that OC of Bishnupur commando (now Wangoi police OC), inspector B Lunthang Vaiphei has been conferred the 4th BAR to PMG and Havildar Md Samadur Rahaman of 2nd IRB attached to Bishnupur commando has been conferred the PMG.
Jemandar K Priyojit Singh; and riflemen, Th Digbijoy Singh, W Surjit Singh and Kh Tomba Singh of the Manipur Police Training Centre have been conferred the Union Home Minister's Medal for Excellence in Police Training 2018-19, it stated.
The six police personnel will receive the medals on the occasion of the Independence Day on August 15, it added.
