The total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Mizoram rose to 151 on Sunday as one more person tested positive for the novel coronavirus, official sources said.
According to an update posted on Twitter by the state Information and Public Relations Department (DIPR), of the total 151 total cases, 96 are active cases while 55 patients have recovered from COVID-19.
Among the 96 active cases, Lunglei has the highest active cases with 47, followed by Aizawl and Mamit with 19 cases each. Champhai district has five active cases, Serchhip and Khawzawl two cases each. Siaha and Kolasib have one case each, the DIPR said.
The DIPR said that all 31 swab samples tested for COVID-19 on Saturday returned negative.
"31 swab samples were tested yesterday (27/06/2020) at Civil Hospital Lunglei Truenat Lab. All 31 samples have been confirmed negative for Covid-19," DIPR Mizoram tweeted on Sunday morning.
Of the total 151 confirmed cases reported in Mizoram, 70 are males and 81 are females, the DIPR added.
