The Manipur government on Sunday announced that the admission to class -XI in all government higher secondary schools of Manipur is now open and can be done online.
There will be no registration fees, while reservation of seats will be as per government norms, and there will be no entrance examination, stated a notification issued by director of Education (S) L Nandakumar. Selection will be based entirely on marks basis and cut-off marks set by the respective schools, it added.
Preference will be given to meritorious students from government schools and for students of the same schools not more than 50 per cent of the intake seats shall be allotted to them, it mentioned.
Informing that the online registration can be done through the link provided in its official website "www.manipureducation.gov.in" or by directly visiting "www.class11registration.com", it stated that for areas where there is no internet availability, admission forms will be available from the nearest ZEO offices and submit the same on or before August 8 at the ZEO office which will submit it online.
Further stating that the name of schools and seat capacity will be given at Annexure-I which is uploaded on the official website "www.manipureducation.gov.in", it said that the online submission of admission forms will begin from August 2 till 4 pm of August 10.
First cut off marks, second cut off marks and third cut off marks will be notified by the schools on August 12, 15 and 18 respectively and the copy of which will be uploaded on the official website "www.manipureducation.gov.in," it added.
It further said that 15 per cent of the total seat intake will be kept reserved as results of some Boards are yet to be declared and in case no student from these reserved categories is found eligible as per the cut off marks set by the respective schools, then these seats may be filled from among the applicants who are found more qualified.
Students who pass the class-X examination from NIOS are not eligible to apply or register, the notification added.
