Nagaland's COVID-19 caseload surges to 26,943 with 105 new cases

Apart from the new COVID-19 cases, Nagaland also registered three deaths on Wednesday.

Nagaland on Wednesday reported 105 new COVID-19 cases, pushing the state's tally to 26,943, according to the state's COVID-19  bulletin.

As per the bulletin, a total of 180 test results were received on Wednesday, of which 105 were found positive for COVID-19. The cumulative number of test results received as of Wednesday is 10,1,71.

Of the new COVID-19 cases reported on Wednesday, 45 were from Dimapur, 37 from Kohima, 10 from Tuensang, eight from Mokokchung, two from Zunheboto, and one each from Longleng, Mon and Phek.

With these new COVID-19 cases, the active caseload stands at 1,218.

Apart from the new COVID-19 cases, Nagaland also registered three deaths on Wednesday, taking the death toll to 521. A total of 14 COVID-19 patients have so far died in Nagaland, however, their deaths were not due to COVID-19, it stated.

With 41 new recoveries, the cumulative number of COVID-19 recovered cases in Nagaland reached 24,434, while 756 cases have migrated to other states, it added.
