Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has officially joined the micro-blogging platform Koo. CM Biren is the 10th chief minister to use Koo as a tool for communication, official sources said.
In his first Koo, using the handle @nbirensingh, CM Biren welcomed a slew of dignitaries to Manipur.
Welcoming the Manipur chief minister to the social media platform, co-founder and CEO of Koo Aprameya Radhakrishna said, “We would like to welcome Shri Biren Singh to Koo, making him the tenth Chief Minister of an Indian state to join Koo. We are glad to have Biren Singh join this group of India’s political leaders.”
Koo co-founder Mayank Bidawatka expressed hope that the platform will give the chief minister a tremendous reach.
“Koo is now available in seven Indian languages – Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu – and English,” Bidawatka said.
Founded in March 2020, Koo is India’s social media platform that enables Indians to create content in their mother tongues. It provides a stage for the voices of Indians who prefer to interact in Indian languages.
