MMM lauds public welfare initiative of Mk Boni

Till Thursday, the ambulance service Mk Boni of Lilong had transported a total of 101 patients to various hospitals and medical patients, and 80 individuals amongst them were Covid patients, Founder and chairman of MMM Mohd Warish Khan said.

Manipur Muslim Mirror (MMM) on Friday has conveyed appreciation for Mk Boni of Lilong for his public welfare initiative of providing round-the-clock free ambulance service for the sick and needy.

Founder and chairman of MMM Mohd Warish Khan said that the ambulance service which commenced from May 28 has been able to save a number of lives. Till Thursday, the ambulance service had transported a total of 101 patients to various hospitals and medical patients, and 80 individuals amongst them were Covid patients, he said.

Mk Boni has provided ambulance service for patients from places as far as Kwakta which is located about 50 km away from Imphal, Mohd Warish said while also mentioning various other places from where the ambulance service has helped patients including Lilong, Kwakeithel Akham Leikai, Heirangoithong, Khongnang Karak, Matai, Yairipok Changamdabi, Yairipok Tulihal, Hiyangthang, Urup, Wangoi and Nambol amongst others.

Ever since Mk Boni started his ambulance service, several people have contributed to his initiative. Up-pradhan, Lilong Turel Ahanbi Atoukhong GP Naema and Md Ramijuddin of Turel Ahanbi have filled up the fuel tank of the ambulance at their own expenses while Makakmayum Firoj of Chandrakhong has donated a landline phone so that people in need can reach out for the ambulance service at ease, he said.

Mohd Warish further recounted the tragic story of Mk Boni who lost his parents at an early age stating the experience has served as a motivation for him to initiate the free ambulance service. Appealing to the public to support Mk Boni in his public service activities, he also added that anyone in need of the service can reach out at 8787766178.
