Sikkim reported four new COVID-19 cases, taking the total number of cases in the Himalayan state to 83, state health department said on Wednesday.
According to a release issued by Director General-cum-Secretary, Health, Dr Pema T Bhutia, the four new patients are from South District. They were confirmed positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday night, Dr Bhutia said.
Their line listing and contact tracing is being carried out, Dr Bhatia added.
Of the total 83 cases reported in the state so far, 54 are active cases while 29 patients have recovered from COVID-19.
Sikkim reported its first COVID-19 case on May 23 after a 25-year-old student Delhi returnee tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
