Mass screening held in Ukhrul town, 21 test positive for COVID-19

With 20 new positive cases detected from mass screening and another one new positive case detected through contact tracing, the total active cases surged to 65.

Mass screening for COVID-19 conducted at three locations in Ukhrul town on Monday detected 20 new COVID-19 positive cases out of the 280 people tested.

Mass screenings were held at Ava market (Ima market) Phungreitang, United Bank of India (UBI) Viewland bazar and Jessam junction Viewland, Ukhrul. 

With 20 new positive cases detected from mass screening and another one new positive case detected through contact tracing, the total active cases surged to 65. Meanwhile, five Covid patients were discharged on Monday.

The cumulative positive stands at 480, of which 284 are males and 196 are females. On Sunday, 26 positive cases were reported from Ukhrul district.
