Manipur Education Minister S Rajen Singh on Monday assured of providing financial aid to COVID-19 infected families, including those admitted to hospitals from Lamsang assembly constituency.
The second wave of COVID-19 should not be taken lightly, he said to the media during a visit to the COVID-19 infected localities, containment zones and families of Lamsang assembly constituency. He advised the public to take utmost care and precaution during the pandemic and stressed that SOPs should also be followed strictly.
He also maintained that everyone has a role to contain this pandemic. “Local clubs and organisations have also been urged to play a role during this juncture. We should keep ourselves healthy. Anxiety and stress should be evaded during this pandemic,” he added. He also distributed food items to the infected families of Lamsang assembly constituency.
Besides food items, medicines and oximeters were also distributed to the infected households. Any communication regarding any COVID-related assistance should be communicated to the Covid Consultative Committee, Lamsang assembly constituency, he added.
