In the wake of the present critical situation of the pandemic, Thoubal district administration opened its second COVID Care Centre in the district on Wednesday by shifting the Community Home Isolation Centre (CHIC) at Wangjing Kodompokpi Sports Complex, Khangabok AC to Lamding High School.
It may be mentioned that there are shortages in the number of beds in the COVID Care Centre of GNM School of Nursing, District Hospital Thoubal.
Meanwhile, as per assurance given by the state government to open at least one CHIC in each assembly constituency of the state, the MLAs of the assembly constituencies in Thoubal are on their move to open the CHICs.
The CHICs to be opened at the respective assembly constituencies are at DIET Centre, Heirok Part-II, Khangrok (Heirok AC), Lamding Higher Secondary School and Waikhom Mani Girls College (Khangabok and Thoubal ACs) and Boys and Girls Hostel of Lilong Haoreibi College (Lilong AC).
