Lilong police arrested two drug dealers who happened to be siblings from Lilong Haoreibi Turel Ahanbi Ubakthong Makha and seized a huge quantity of various illegal drugs on Saturday.
The arrested persons have been identified as Md Nawaz Khan, 35, and Md Riyaz Khan, 31, both sons of late Md Yaima of Lilong Haoreibi Turel Ahanbi Ubakthong.
Upon receiving information from a reliable source, that Md Nawaz Khan and his younger brother were selling illegal drugs at their residences, a team of personnel from Lilong police station led by its OC and under the supervision of SP, Thoubal along with members of ANJUMAN rushed to the spot and conducted a search operation in the presence of a gazetted officer as witness.
During the search, 1,194 numbers of WY tablets and two mobile handsets were seized from the possession of Md Nawaz Khan, while 3 (three) bottles of P-Kuff (containing Codeine) syrup, 2.3 grams of suspected Heroin excluding the weight of plastic bottle container, and 18 empty small plastic containers and 5 (five) lighters were seized from Md Riyaz Khan by observing formalities.
In this regard a case under FIR No. 41(05) 2021 LIL PS u/s 22(b)/21(a)/29 ND & PS Act has been registered for investigation.
