Community home isolation centre to be set up at Singhat AC

The CHIC will be opened for asymptomatic COVID-19 positive patients and the concerned MLA will facilitate the basic requirements like oxygen cylinder and oxygen concentrator.

The COVID Management Committee of Singhat AC led by MLA Ginsuanhau held a meeting at Simte Inn on Saturday and the ways to control the second wave of COVID-19 were deliberated.

The meeting resolved to set up a Community Home Isolation Centre (CHIC) with a capacity of 50 patients at Sadbhavna Mandap of Singhat assembly constituency.

It was resolved that there should be no gathering at church services and marriage ceremonies and a strict curfew will be enforced in the assembly constituency. The police in support of the joint philanthropic body of Singhat will take action against the defaulters.

The CHIC will be opened for asymptomatic COVID-19 positive patients and the concerned MLA will facilitate the basic requirements like oxygen cylinder and oxygen concentrator. Meanwhile, the MLA assured that a dedicated ambulance will soon be provided at the centre.

The meeting was attended by SDO of Singat, James Hangsing, SDO of Sangaikot, Zosanglur, MO in-charge of Singat CHC, Dr Steve Munlou, additional SP Lawrence Munlou and CVO leaders among others.
