The Khundrakpam AC Assembly Segment COVID Awareness Cum Enforcement Committee (ACC) resolved to set up three Community Home Isolation Centres (CHICs) in three different areas of the assembly constituency.
The resolution was made during a meeting held at the office chamber of the chairman of ACC, Th Lokeshwar, located at Babupara, Imphal on Thursday.
The meeting resolved that the three CHICs will be set up at RK Sanatombi Vidyalaya, Haotal; Kanan Devi Memorial School, Pangei; and Naorem Birahari College. They will be monitored by the chairman of ACC, who is also the local MLA of the assembly constituency, in respect of cleanliness and functioning. The state home department will provide security personnel to monitor the centres round the clock regarding law and order.
Moreover, the three centres will be made available of the required medical staff, doctors and nurses, medicines, ambulance, oxygen and other medical related materials 24x7. It further mentioned in the resolution that if any unwanted situation occurs in any COVID patients at the centres, it shall be the responsibility of the health department. All COVID patients in the centres shall be taken care by the health department.
The deputy commissioner of Imphal East shall requisite the centres in the interest of general public and shall look after the arrangement of drinking water and electricity at the centres, it added.
Further, the meeting resolved that the state government should bear the expenses for lodging and food of the patients who are admitted at the CHICs.
The meeting was attended by OC of Sagolmang Police Station; representatives of CMO, Imphal East; SDO of Sawombung and representatives of SDC, Sagolmang.
