Churachandpur district on Tuesday recorded another highest single-day spike of 31 COVID-19 positive cases. On Monday, the district recorded 30 COVID-19 positive cases, official sources said.
The district now has 150 COVID-19 active cases, of which 24 patients are stationed at the lone COVID Care Centre located at Lanva TD block and eight patients at the isolated ward of the district hospital, the sources added.

Meanwhile, a meeting of all DLOs concerning the present situation was held on Tuesday at DTC hall, chaired by the deputy commissioner of Churachandpur. During the meeting, it was decided to set up a district control room for COVID-19 at the earliest.
The SDOs have been directed to submit the condition in regards to the containment zones with help from the police and concerned Vas. It further decided to appoint a nodal officer by the police, who will coordinate with other stakeholders while the AC shall prepare roster for duty from ZEO staff. In regards to the extension of CCC in the district, the SDOs were tasked to identify new buildings for the same.
The DLOs meeting also decided for construction of an oxygen generation plant at Churachandpur which should be completed within 10 days starting from Tuesday.
