Ukhrul district reported 52 positive cases as of March 23 till May 1, 2021. Of the 52 cases, six were returnees while 46 were locals. Altogether, the district had 35 active cases. Seven persons tested positive on Saturday.

This was announced by surveillance officer Ukhrul district Dr Thotreichon Juliana on Sunday. The surveillance officer also appealed to the district populace to wear masks, maintain social distancing, wash hands regularly and get vaccinated. “Stay home, stay safe and let us fight this COVID-19 together,” she appealed.
