Nagaland: 89 more test COVID-19 positive

Dimapur reported 85 new COVID-19 cases while Kohima reported four new cases on Friday.

Nagaland on Friday reported 89 new COVID-19 positive cases, taking the state's tally to 12,889, state Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said.

Taking to Twitter, the state health minister said that 85 new cases were reported from Dimapur while the other four cases were from Kohima.

With it, the number of COVID-19 active cases rose to 456, Phom said in a tweet.

Meanwhile, the state recorded only one recovery on Friday and the state's recovered tally is 12,117.

"Update! 89 +ve cases of COVID-19 reported today. Dimapur- 85, Kohima- 4. And, 1 +ve patient has recovered  in Kohima. Cumulative 1. Total Cases: 12889, 2. Active cases: 456, 3. Recovered: 12117," the health minister tweeted.

As many as 94 COVID-19 patients have died in Nagaland so far. However, 10 deaths were not related to COVID-19, the state health department said, adding 206 cases have migrated to other states.
