‘Justice for Sanaton Athokpam’ on Wednesday stated that the reactions from RIMS community against the act of storming the gate of RIMS Administrative Block by a mob, have brought apprehension among the general public that the institute may turn into a place for murdering people in the near future.

A release issued by the JAC stated that employees and students bodies of RIMS expressing concern against the act of storming the gate of RIMS Administrative Block by a mob on Tuesday was truly unfortunate.

The release pointed out that disturbances were not given at the functioning of RIMS hospitals and colleges during yesterday’s protest as the administrative block of RIMS is located far from the hospital and college.

It asked the leaders of the RIMS community to extend support in finding out the facts of the suspicious death case of Sanaton and deliver him justice and save RIMS from downfall.

It raised questions such as “Why none of the representatives of the RIMS community visited the family members of late Sanaton?”, “Why the student’s union of RIMS urged for resisting from giving police statements?” and “Was Sanaton not a student of RIMS?”

On Tuesday afternoon, irate mob including women and students stormed the gate of RIMS Administrative Block, demanding immediate suspension of the RIMS director and the warden of RIMS Gents Hostel no 3.
