MLA of Wangjing Tentha Assembly constituency, Paonam Brojen took the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday at Thoubal district hospital.
Wife of the MLA, Paonam (O) Shyama along with PRO, S Jaydeba and secretary of BJP Wangjing Tentha Mandal, L Sunil also got vaccinated on the same day at the hospital.
After taking the vaccine, Brojen said people should not be hesitant to take the vaccine as it is absolutely safe. Appealing to the public to get vaccinated at the earliest, he said that it is better to stay safe and be prepared to defeat the COVID-19 pandemic from the entire world.
“Joining the mass COVID-19 vaccination festival ‘Tika Utsav’, an initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that started on April 11, Chief Minister N Biren had been vaccinated and people among the age group of 45 years and above should also take the vaccine and together make the state free from COVID-19,” the MLA said.
