Manipur: COVID-19 active cases rise to 107

Ten more COVID-19 cases were recorded in Manipur on Sunday.

The number of COVID-19 active cases in Manipur increased to 107 on Sunday as 10 more persons, including a Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel, tested positive for the viral infection in a span of 24 hours, the state health department said.

The new positive cases from the general population included six from Imphal West, two from Imphal East and one from Kakching, according to a release issued by the COVID-19 Common Control Room.

With the new positive cases, the state's caseload reached 29,496 including 29,013 recoveries, the release stated.

Meanwhile, one more COVID-19 patient, a 59-year-old man from Imphal West district, succumbed to the viral infection, taking the death toll to 376.

The state health department has further asked air passengers who travelled to the state on April 10 by Air Asia flight I5-7008 seated in rows 5-11 to inform the Common COVID Control Room at 18003453818 pr respective District Surveillance Officers (DSOs) immediately.

COVID-19 Vaccination in Manipur

The cumulative number of people vaccinated against COVID-19 reached 92,948 as 476 more people were administered the vaccine till April 10. A total of 31,939 healthcare workers have been vaccinated so far in the state, the release added.
