On the occasion of World Health Day (WHD), Manipuri Students’ Federation (MSF) appealed to the people of the state for cooperation and personal involvement for society to reach a physical state of health and well-being.
Urging the masses to remain cautious and maintain SOPs in regard to the COVID-19 pandemic, a release expressed admiration for the vital roles played by doctors, nurses and other medical staff from the health sector in combating the pandemic.
The activities of MSF will not be solely concentrated on students’ welfare but it will also focus on hygiene to achieve a physically fit and healthy society, it stated.
It stated that MSF has always stood against the usage of intoxicants in the interest of the careers of students and continue to do so. Under the supervision of MSF Affairs on Drug Use Prevention, the student’s organisation has collaborated with various CVOs and local clubs to arrange a number of awareness and orientation programmes, it added
Expressing sorrow on the increasing number of drug users amongst students, MSF urged for public support in their movement to include drug awareness classes in the academic syllabus of schools. It is only when people are physically fit that a society can develop, and so let us all get personally involved, the release added.
