Kangleipak Students’ Association (KSA) has alleged that corrupt practices were involved in the recent recruitment examination of 16 multi-tasking staff (MTS) of Manipur State Co-operative Bank (MSCB) Ltd and demanded the MSCB to issue a clarification within five days.

The recruitment examination for 16 MTS of MSCB Ltd was held on December 20, 2019 and the result was declared on March 31, 2021, said secretary, HRD KSA Romen Soibamcha in a press conference held at its office, Khuyathong on Monday. Many candidates who had expected to clear the written examination failed in the results, he said.

To clarify their doubts, a Right to Information (RTI) was filed by some candidates to check their answer sheets. The candidates found tempering and overwriting of marks in their answer sheets, he added, alleging it is highly suspected that corrupt activities were carried out in the examination.

He further said the candidates who had expected to clear the examination were disheartened and left demotivated. They are highly suspicious that the recruitment process was tainted with corrupt activities, he further said, adding the authority concerned should clarify their doubts.
