SAK Yumnam Khunou upset USA Khurai by 2-1 goals in Maharajkumar Ghanendrajit Memorial Super Division Football League Tournament 2021, organised by IEDFA and played at Akhampat Ground, Imphal East.

SAK team played their heart out with calculated moves from the start and got the breakthrough when N.Shankar Singh fetched the opening goal in the 22 minute for the lead in the first half.

USA Khurai had their chances but took too long to release the ball or shot was off target, frustrating themselves even more. Continuing their offensive stance, SAK increased the scoreline when goalscorer N Shankar came up with his second goal in the 62 minute to have a larger say in the match.

Putting up a last ditch effort, USA Khurai managed to get their opening when M Boy Singh slotted home a goal in 83 minute, which turned out to be the lone goal and proved not enough to save the match. USA player L Sanju Singh and SAK Yumnam Khunou player N Rupachandra got yellow cards in the match for rough tackles.
