Manipur cabinet in a meeting convened on Saturday gave its approval to conduct Autonomous District Council (ADC) Elections in the state, including the four new districts- Kamjong, Tengnoupal, Pherzawl and Noney.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh said the authority concerned has been instructed to take up all required measures to ensure that the new districts are not left out.
The Cabinet also approved setting-up of State-of-the-Art Multi-Speciality Cancer Institute under DBFO (Design, Build, Finance & Operate) Mode in JNIMS Campus, Imphal and inclusion of nine different employments as Scheduled Employments under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 and fixation of minimum rates of wages for the employees
It is learnt that the cabinet also approved the adoption of Manipur Service (Revised Pay) rules, 2019 for the Officers and Staff of High Court of Manipur. For Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, the State Cabinet approved notification of the draft Manipur Rural Employment (Payment of Unemployment Allowance) Guarantee Rules, 2021 under section 32(1) of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, 2005 and amendment of provision of Rules for conduct of Panchayat Election and engagement of Manpower under Social Audit Unit (Manipur Social Audit Agency).
Enhancement of honorarium of Members of the Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW); inclusion of 9 (nine) different employments as Scheduled Employments under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 and fixation of minimum rates of wages for the employees were also approved in the Cabinet Meeting.
For the procurement and development of a Manipur Guest House at Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, the State Cabinet approved to hand over the matter to GAD, Government of Manipur for further necessary process.
