CM Biren hands over ex-gratia amount to BSF martyr’s family

Paotinsat Guite of 59th Battalion BSF died of bullet injuries during an exchange of fire with terrorists at LOC under Rajouri Sector in Jammu and Kashmir on December 1, 2020.

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Tuesday handed over a cheque of Rs 5 lakh under ‘Major Laishram Jyotin Singh Ex-Gratia Scheme’ to the family of sub-inspector (GD) Paotinsat Guite of 59th Battalion BSF. Guite succumbed to bullet injuries during an exchange of fire with terrorists at Line of Control (LOC) under Rajouri Sector in Jammu and Kashmir on December 1 last year.

Director General (DG) of Border Security Force (BSF) Rakesh Asthana called on CM Biren at Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Tuesday.

He hailed from Maphou Kuki in Kangpokpi district. Asthana also handed over Rs 1 lakh to the family from his side.
