The District Legal Service Authority, Churachandpur in collaboration with Manipur State Legal Service Authority organised Citizen’s Outreach Conclave 2021 on Saturday at YMA hall, Hmuia Veng, Churachandpur.

The conclave was attended by judge of Manipur High Court Justice Kh Nobin Singh, who is also the executive chairman of MASLSA, and member secretary of MASLSA, Gaiphulsillu Golmei, along with DC and SP of Churachandpur, commander of 27th Sector  Assam Rifle, CO of 25th AR, CMO of Churachandpur and others.

During the programme, Justice Nobin said that the reason behind organising the kind of programme is that since 50 years the government had initiated more than 100 schemes for the people but could not be effective as people are not aware of the objectives of the schemes. He said that unless people do not know the scheme it does not serve its purpose.

He further appealed to the people, NGOs and CVOs to attend the kind of programme which was organised today to make them aware of their rights.

A workshop on ‘Importance of Fundamental Right in contemporary India: A constitutional Perspective’ and ‘Fundamental Duties: Role and Responsibility as Citizen' was also held, led by Mangleibi Sarungbam and Bonny Laishram.
