Chandel: Help extended to fire victims of Changjal village lauded

The KSO Chandel expressed gratitude to those who extended help to fire victims of Changjal village

The Kuki Students' Organisation Chandel District conveyed its appreciation and gratitude to WR and YAS minister, Letpao Haokip and various others for helping fire victims of Changjal village.

Information and Publicity secretary of KSO Chandel, Kennedy Haokip said that on January 28 the residence of Boipu and Sisi of Changjal village under Khengjoi sub-division was engulfed in fire and one individual namely Ngamkhogin, 28, was seriously injured while properties worth over 5.5 lakhs was lost in the incident.

He continued that considering the devastating incident, Letpao Haokip provided relief materials including rice, blankets, roofing materials, water storage Sintex, utensils, dal and bales of clothing for the fire victims while adding that the relief materials were transported and delivered to the family by general secretary of KSO Chandel, Mangvung Benjamin Haokip.

KSO also expressed gratitude to DC of Chandel, Mayanglambam Rajkumar; MDC of Tolbung DCC, Limkhojam Haokip; SDO of Khengjoi sub-division, Shokhongam Baite; Kuki Women Human Rights Chandel and all individuals for helping the victim’s family.
