The number of COVID-19 cases in Tripura has surpassed the 1,000 mark with 37 new cases reported in the state on Saturday, official sources said.
Tripura's tally is now 1,001.
Of the new cases, Sepahijala District reported 34 cases while Gomati district reported three case, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb tweeted.
The chief minister said that the new cases are among the 210 samples tested for COVID-19 and had travel history.
"Out of 210 samples tested for #COVID19, 37 Cases found #POSITIVE. All of them have travel history. The count includes: Sepahijala Dist: 34; Gomati Dist: 03," the CM tweeted.
In Tripura, Sepahijala district has so far reported the maximum COVID-19 positive cases with with 430 cases.
On Friday, 48 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the state, taking the number of total cases to 964.
