Eight teams are in the fray for top title in the 1st Jalaluddin (Ex-MLA) Memorial Volleyball Tournament 2021 which will get underway from Sunday at Kiyamgei Takhok Makha Volleyball Ground, Imphal East.
The participating teams are KLYSC Kachikhul, BVC Heirok, YDA Phoubakchao, YMDO Heirangoithong in Group A while HVA Heikrujam, SYDC Santhel, KHASPC Mayang Imphal, AKKMYDA Keirao in the Group B of the meet.
The tournament will be played on league cum knock-out basis. The tournament organised by Village Development Organisation, Kiyamgei Takhok Makha will have CAF & PD Minister Th Satyabrata Singh gracing the opening function as chief guest while deputy chairman, planning L Rameshwor Meetei, deputy speaker K Robindro Singh, chairman Labour H Dingo Singh and Post commander 16 Assam Rifles Major Nikhil Jha as special guests.
The opening match will have KLYSC Kachikhul taking on YMDO Heirangoithong.
