A number of officials from Chandel under the state government on Tuesday visited Anal Khullen and surveyed land for various developmental projects including development of historical site Ibudhou Wangparel.
Anal Khullen is a historical and one of the oldest villages of the Anal Community and is situated about 15-kms from the Chandel district HQs. Besides various historical facts, the village is also known for the story of Ibudhou Wangparel and the legendary Anal Phetha (Hero) Thumkhel.
On Tuesday, along with the DC and SDO of the district, Commissioner (Art and Culture), GoM (representative); Director (Art and Culture), Manipur; Director (IT), Manipur (Representative); ADC, Chandel; EE (PHED), Chandel division; EE (PWD), Chandel division and EE, PIU-II, Chandel district, RED/MSRRDA.
During the visits, the officials visited and assessed the land meant for the historical site. Besides that, the team also survey land for Guest house, water reservoir and the likes. On the request of the villagers, the officials also assured to set up a mobile tower and dig a well at the earliest. They are also assured to put up a new transformer for the villagers.
It is worth noting the Anal Khullen Village is one of those places that have been chosen by the state government to turn into a historical tourist centre.
