Rongmei Naga Students Organisation Manipur president Daichui Gangmei stated in a release that Assam Rifles Khoupum Battalion under the aegis of 21 sector Assam Rifles and Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) distributed the masks and medical aid to 80 locals at Nungba.

The RNSO also stated that the awareness campaign witnessed a speech regarding safety and precautionary measures to be undertaken during the pandemic.

The gesture by Assam Rifles during difficult times was widely appreciated by the public and received a positive response from the local communities, it added.
