Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Thursday announced that the examinations for class 10 and 12 for schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be held from May 4 to June 10. The datesheet for the CBSE exams is yet to be released.

The Union HRD minister said that results will be declared by July 15 and the exams will be conducted in adherence to COVID-19 protocols.

Practical exams of class 12 will commence from March 1.

The Union education minister had earlier announced that the class 10 and 12 board exams of CBSE will not be held in January-February 2021.

"Cancelling exams and promoting students without conducting exams will result in the students facing trouble in getting jobs and admissions at higher education level in future. Thus, the board exams will be held but postponed," the minister had said.

The Union Education Ministry had postponed the CBSE board exams in view of the coronavirus pandemic.
