India’s COVID-19 confirmed caseload mounted to 1,00,75,116, while the death toll rose to 1,46,111, but the number of new recoveries has been exceeding the new cases continuously since last 25 days. the Union Health Ministry said.
AS per the latest updates by the ministry, the number of recovered cases has reached 96,36,487, which is 95.65 per cent of the total positive caseload. With it, the total number of active cases stood at 2,92,518, which is 2.90 per cent against the death rate of 1.45 per cent.
A total of new 11,121 active cases, 30,376 more recoveries and 301 more deaths were reported in a span of 24 hours. The number of new recoveries has been exceeding the new cases continuously since last 25 days.
As many as 18.27 per cent of the new fatalities reported were from Maharashtra which reported 55 deaths. West Bengal reported 41 new deaths. Kerala and Delhi reported 27 deaths each.
Kerala reported the maximum daily new cases, numbering 3,423 in the last 24 hours. Maharashtra recorded 2,834 new cases while West Bengal reported 1,515 new cases and Delhi reported 803 new cases on Monday, the ministry said.
