Referee instructors’ refresher course kicks off

Altogether, 20 referee instructors/assessors took part in the course which is being organised by the All Manipur Sports Association (AMFA).

A two-day referee instructors’ refresher course was launched at the meeting hall of All Manipur Sports Association (AMFA), Mapal Kangjeibung on Sunday.

Altogether, 20 referee instructors/assessors took part in the course which is being organised by AMFA to enlighten about the laws of the game and new amendments.

One of the AIFF instructors, Irengbam Rabichandra Singh said that the course will give emphasis on the lack of activity related to football for the last ten months due to COVID-19 pandemic. It will also focus on making preparations for moving ahead in the coming season 2020-21. There is a collective need to understand, think and work towards a more fruitful year of footballing activities in the state, he said.

Moirangthem Joychandra Singh, the other AIFF referee instructor who is the head of referee of AMFA also took part in the occasion. AMFA president Moirangthem Ratankumar Singh expressed his gratitude and satisfaction to the referee instructors and assessors who attended the course and their resolve to sustain and support the game throughout the pandemic.
