A team of district commando, Imphal West arrested one drug smuggler who was transporting Brown Sugar at about 11.30 pm from Langthabal Phuramakhong on Friday.
The person has been identified as one Seiminthang Haokip alias James, 21, son of Doujangam Haokip of Samushang Simol Village, Senapati district.

Police reported that 378 grams of Brown Sugar and a sum of Rs 5,020 were seized from his possession. He was carrying it in a Bolero, bearing registration number MNO7D 007.
The arrested person along with the seizures has been handed over to Singjamei police station for further investigation.
