Sikkim has reported six new COVID-19 positive cases, taking the total number of cases in the state to 13, the health department said on Tuesday.
Of the six new cases, four are from West Sikkim and one each from South and East Sikkim, the state health department said.
The six infected persons, who were lodged at designated quarantine centres, have been shifted to COVID-19 Isolation Ward in STNM Hospital, officials said. They said that of the total 13 COVID-19 cases, 10 are active cases while three patients recovered from the disease on Monday.
Sikkim, which remained an exception to the pandemic for a long time, reported its first COVID-19 case on May 23, after a 25-year-old returnee from Delhi who arrived in the state on May 19.
