Manipur CM N Biren Singh condoles death of BSF officer in Pakistan firing

The martyred soldier, P Guite from Manipur's Kangpokpi District Manipur, was killed killed in a ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops in Rajouri Sector, Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Wednesday condoled the death of BSF officer from the state, who was killed in a ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops in Rajouri Sector on the Line of Control in Poonch district, Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.

The martyred soldier, P Guite, was from Maphou Kuki Village, Kangpokpi District Manipur, who served as a Sub-Inspector in the Border Security Force.

"Salute to the Braveheart, P Guite from Maphou Kuki Village, Kangpokpi Dist. Manipur, who was serving as a SI in @BSF_India, attained Martyrdom during ceasefire violation in Rajouri by Pakistan Army. My condolences to the bereaved family. May the noble soul rest in eternal peace," CM Biren tweeted.

The BSF also extended its solidarity and saluted the martyred SI P Guite saying Guite had displayed a high degree of dedication and devotion to duty.

"DG & all ranks of BSF salute the supreme sacrifice of SI P Guite who laid down his life while displaying conspicuous bravery, high degree of dedication & devotion to duty. Prahari Parivaar stands in solidarity with the bereaved family. Nation will always remain indebted to SI P Guite, a gallant & sincere borderman, for his supreme sacrifice. BSF has retaliated strongly & effectively on Pakistan Army posts," the BSF posted on Twitter.
