Nagaland on Tuesday recorded 79 new COVID-19 cases, pushing the state's total tally to 10,931, official sources said.
Of the new positive cases, 61 are from Kohima, nine from Peren, eight from Dimapur and one from Mon, Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom Tweeted on Tuesday evening.
Meanwhile, the number of recoveries in the state increased to 9,291 as 50 more patients recovered from the viral infection on Tuesday. The new recoveries are Dimapur- 41, Kohima- 5, Peren- 2 and Mokokchung- 2, as per the updates by the health minister. There are 1,471 active COVID-19 cases in the state
The death toll in Nagaland stood at 63, of which six deaths are not due to COVID-19 while four cases are under investigation.
