Manipur girl bags Cargill Global Scholarship

The Cargill Global Scholarship is a two-year scholarship program which provides financial support to the undergraduate students.

Pravina Khuraijam, an ex-student of Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1 Lamphelpat and presently a student of Lady Sri Ram College for Women (LSR) , New Delhi has bagged the prestigious Cargill Global Scholarship along with nine other students from across the country for the year 2020-21.

The Cargill Global Scholarship is a two-year scholarship program which provides financial support to the undergraduate students. She is the first to receive this scholarship in India from Humanities Stream based on academic achievements and demonstrative leadership potential.

As Pravina Khuraijam is a recipient of this scholarship, she will receive a sum of Rs 3.78 lakh as financial reward. In addition, she will be attending a sponsored in-country seminar this year in September and a global seminar in the USA next year around the same time.

She will be provided with the opportunity of the Cargill Global Scholars Programme offers which includes leadership development through seminars, networking events, case study presentations, and a one-on-one mentoring program.

The Cargill Global Scholars Programme is sponsored by Cargill, a US agri and food conglomerate and administered by Institute of International Education (IIE), New York. The scholarship is given to 70 students globally.

Pravina Khuraijam is the daughter of CTO and Head, KVK Imphal West Kh Hera Singh and Kh Puinabati Devi.
