The deputy commissioner of Bishnupur district has directed all concerned not to resume private hostel services without clear instructions from the state government.

The direction was given after the district administration of Bishnupur witnessed that some individuals are running private hostels in their own residential premises and keeping students together in one place thereby increasing the risk of spread of the COVID -19, said an office memorandum signed by Bishnupur DC Neeta Arambam.

If any hostel owner is found running their services, responsibility will be fixed on them and a penalty will be imposed, it cautioned.
