Tamenglong district has lifted containment zones in Chinkhiulong ward No V. Model Village, Jadonang Bazaar extending till UBS junction, UBI Bank area and District Council Colony.
An order to this effect is issued by district deputy commissioner Armstrong Pame on Sunday. He said all normal activities, including opening of shops and other business establishments from 7 am till 3 pm is permitted.
However, the order also instructed the public to follow standard operating protocols at all times.
Pamei said that all possible contact tracing, testing has been done and whoever has been tested positive has been sent to either COVID Care Centre or allowed home isolation.
He said other precautionary measures such as disinfecting the areas under containment zones, including some private houses where positive cases have been detected were carried out.
Anyone found violating the SOPs shall be liable to be punished under the National Disaster Management Act 2005 and other relevant orders issued from time to time, the order warned.
