It can be mentioned here that Mizoram shares a 404-km international border with Myanmar and a 318-km border with Bangladesh.

The Mizoram-Myanmar border is guarded by Assam Rifles while the Mizoram-Bangladesh border by the Border Security Forces (BSF).

Mizoram is also located in a vulnerable point when it comes to the issue of drugs. Heroin is often smuggled into the state from Myanmar.
