Assam's COVID-19 confirmed cases reach 1,98,982

Of all the districts, Kamrup metro, including Guwahati, have the highest number of 6,008 active cases

Assam COVID-19 confirmed cases in the state has reached 1,98,982 and active cases is 28,804. Of the confirmed tally, 843 patients have died of COVID-19 so far, while 1,69,335 people have recovered.

Of all the districts, Kamrup metro, including Guwahati, have the highest number of 6,008 active cases with 53 deceased, while West Karbi Anglong have the least number of two active cases with no deaths.

It remains to be seen whether the guidelines issued by the state government can control the expected rise of covid 19 cases during the coming festival.

Face masks and sanitisers have been made mandatory at public places.

Pandals are supposed to be open on all sides. 10 to 30 people will be allowed to enter depending on the size of the pandals.

All the volunteers, priests, puja organizers should be tested for Coronavirus before the puja and only those tested negative should be allowed inside the puja pandals to control the pandemic.
