The Kuki National Front (Nehlun), a non-SoO kuki militant outfit, observed the 27th death anniversary of Kuki National Front founder (Late) Nehlun Kipgen on October 12.
According to information and publicity secretary of the outfit, Gou alias Kuki, the observation was held at the outfit Daitwi base camp. He said that (Late) Nehlun Kipgen was the first revolutionary leader among the Kuki society and he was martyred on October 12 in 1993 in the hands of the security forces at Motbung rendering huge loss to the society and the organisation.
A gun salute led by deputy C-in-C, Josh was paid to the late founder during the observation, he added.
He continued that KNF-N till today follows the ideology of (Late) Nehlun Kipgen to revive the Kuki nation while adding that the front pledge not to lay down the weapon unless the goal is achieved.
