Assam COVID-19 Updates: Recovered cases increase to 1,47,519; total confirmed cases 1,82,396

A total of 1,904 patients were discharged on Thursday.

The total number of COVID-19 recovered cases in Assam has increased to 1,47,519 and the active cases stands at 34,163, official sources said.

Taking to Twitter, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that as many as 1,904 more patients were discharged on Thursday while lauding the medical team for its service.

"1904 patients discharged today. I applaud the medical team for its 24*7 service, from testing to treatment of patients. God bless you all! Total Discharged Patients: 147519, Active Patients: 34163," Sarma posted on Twitter.

On Thursday, Assam recorded 1,585 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the total confirmed cases in the state to 1,82,396, including 711 deaths and three migrated cases, as per the update by the health minister.

Assam is the worst COVID-19 afftected state among the northeastern states, followed by Tripura with 26,362 confirmed cases and Manipur with 11,111 confirmed cases, according to the Union Health Ministry data.
