One of three persons, who were arrested with 10,000 WY tablets on September 10 from Koijam Village by a team of Kakching District Police, was found to be COVID-19 positive after conducting a RAT test at Thoubal District Hospital on Saturday.  

The police team which arrested the person has been quarantined.

Meanwhile, as the accused person conducted medical check-up at the casualty ward of Thoubal District Hospital, the medical superintendent of Thoubal District Hospital Dr Ch Memcha has notified that the Casualty and Trauma Centre of the hospital will be sanitised. Therefore, the Casualty and Trauma Centre will be closed down from 4 pm on Saturday to 3 pm on Monday, stated a notice issued by the medical superintendent.
