'Task force of NEP 2020 will be implemented soon'

Education Minister Th Radheshyam on Thursday stated that a task force consisting of all core functionaries will be constituted at the earliest for effective implementation of the New Education Policy (NEP), 2020.

A release stated that Radheshyam chaired a review meeting to chalk out modalities for effective implementation. The meeting was attended by key functionaries and top officials of Education department, State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) and Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) and it was held at Samagra Siksha Manipur, Babupara, Imphal, it stated.

During the meeting, Radheshyam apprised everyone present about the video conference held with the Ministry of Human Resource Development on August 4 and explained the necessity of working collectively and in a strategic manner for effective implementation of NEP 2020, it added.

The minister also emphasized on the need for a thorough understanding of the policy by all stakeholders and solicited cooperation from all quarters particularly educationists, teachers, teacher's associations, student bodies and all stakeholders, it stated.
