Mizoram on Friday reported 11 fresh cases of COVID-19, taking the state’s total tally to 408, official sources said.
According to the health department, the new cases are among the 238 samples tested in the past 24 hours. Most of the new cases are asymptomatic, the health department said, adding that they are returnees from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Ladakh, West Bengal, Kashmir, Assam and Tripura.
With the detection of the new cases, Mizoram now has 174 active COVID-19 cases and 234 recovered cases.
Meanwhile, Mizoram Lok Sabha MP C Lalrosanga had appealed to the security personnel to adhere to the guidelines and protocols on COVID-19 strictly after many security force personnel tested positive for COVID-19.
The MP had also appealed to the officers of BSF to take meticulous measures while entering the state and quarantining security personnel.
