ABA Khetrigao emerges Champion of IEDFA First Division League 2020-21

Athletic Brothers Association(ABA) Khetrigao lifted the champion title of the Moirangthem Ibobi Memorial First Division Football League Tournament 2020-21 organised by Imphal East District Football Association(IEDFA) and played at YWC Thambalkhong Ground.

In the last league match featuring ABA and SSC Porompat, the former dominated the proceeding with an early goal from Y.David Singh in the 11 minute of play, to control the game.

ABA continued its aggression in the second half, landing multitudes of attack and was able to consolidate their grip in the match with M.Isaya scoring the second goal in the 46 minute to have a larger say in the game.

The SSC Porompat team which failed to ignite its scoring prowess in the early period, manage to open up late in the game with Imtiyas finally able to crack home their opening goal in the 75 minute but that proved too late to save them from defeat, providing ABA the coveted title of the First Division League.

IWDFA 2nd Division: YUC Meijroa thrashed SCK Kodompokpi by 4-1 goals in the 27th L.Sangita Devi Memorial First Division Football League 2021 played at Pamyal Patsoi Ground, Imphal West.
Sh Pelle proved to be the trumpcard for YUC team as he scored three goals, one in the first half and two in the second half for his hattrick goal while Kh.Birjit chip in one goal in second half. The lone goal for SCK team was fetch by Alone in second half.

In another match, SDC Samurou beat THAU Thangmeiband by 2-0 goals with Kishan Naorem and P.Dinesh fetching a goal each for the win. 

As for the 4th Mani Sharma Memorial 3rd Division League played at the same venue, ESA Mayang Imphal beat Imphal United, Sekmai by a solitary goal with S.Laban Kom providing the winning goal for Mayang Imphal team.
 
SSC Sawombung in final: Host team SSC Sawombung moves into the final beating UK Uyumok by 5-2 goals of the 1st Five a Side Men's Open Football Tournament for Sawombung Trophy 2021 played at SSC Playground, Sawombung.

The second semi final match saw the host team SSC, heating up the tempo of the game with three quick strikes with Henry connecting two of is shot to the goals while Sanamacha fetch one another goal to gain 3-0 lead.

However not to be outshines by its opponent, UK Uyumpok makes a concerted effort and in the spate of two minute, Emdat strucks twice to give a fright to SSC team. But SSC team was far from over as they quickly rode back into the game with Henery netting home a goal to bring up his hattrick goal and Rebanta chip in with a goal in the first half injury time for the victory, as no ore goal can be added by the teams.
